Backup smart phone locally

Here are some solid methods for backing up your smartphone locally, depending on whether you’re using an iPhone or an Android device:
For iPhone Users:
- iTunes/Finder Backup:
  - Connect your iPhone to your computer using a USB cable.
  - Open iTunes (on Windows or macOS Mojave and earlier) or Finder (on macOS Catalina and later).
  - Select your device when it appears in the app.
  - Click “Back Up Now” to create a local backup of your iPhone on your computer.
For Android Users:
- Manual Backup to Computer:
  - Connect your Android device to your computer with a USB cable.
  - Enable File Transfer mode on your phone (you might need to unlock your phone and select this option from the notification bar).
  - Copy essential files (photos, videos, documents, etc.) from your phone’s storage to a folder on your computer.
- Using Smart Switch (Samsung Devices):
  - Install Smart Switch software on your computer.
  - Connect your Samsung device to your computer via USB.
  - Open Smart Switch and follow the prompts to create a backup of your device on your computer.
If you want to save a copy on a flash drive
- Copy the backup files to the flash drive that you have inserted to the computer
- Put the flash drive in the computer before the backup and use that for the folder in the backup process
